Frequently Ask Questions:

  1. Where can I purchase tickets? Tickets can be purchased at The Goodie Shop Restaurant, Town Square Boutique, N&J Convenience, Curtis Corner Irving, Papa Joe’s, Courtesy Convenience, and City Limits Convenience, Sobeys Douglastown, Petro-Can Wellington St.
  2. How much does it cost to play? Tickets are $2 each.
  3. Do I have to buy a new number each week? No, you use the same number each week.
  4. Can I play the same number multiple times each week? No, you only need to play each number once per week.
  5. Is there a limit on how many numbers I can play a week? No, you can play as many numbers as you wish each week at a cost of $2 each number.
  6. How old do you have to be to play? Players must be minimum age of 19 years.
  7. How will I be notified if I win? The winner will be notified by 9pm on Tuesday evening. Please make sure the information on the card you fill out is legible and if there is any change to your contact information, be sure to contact us with the change to update our records.
  8. How are the winning tickets drawn each week? The Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival committee will be using a computerized generated number system that will select a number.
  9. What if the number you drawn the person did not play, do you roll over until next week? There is a roll over, if the number drawn is not played the jackpot will roll over to next week’s draw..
  10. Where do I cut the deck of cards? The winner will come down to 95.9 SunFM on Wednesday morning between 9:30 – 12:00 noon to cut the deck of cards.
  11. When cutting the deck, what card is used as the cut card? When the winner cuts the deck, the card that is on the top of the bottom cut will be the card.
  12. How do I know if the King of Spades is in that deck? After the winner cuts the deck and reveal their card and if it is not the King of Spades, the deck of cards will be turned face up and we will fan out the cards to display the King of Spades. The deck is then reshuffled and put back into the secured location.
  13. What happens to the card that was cut if it is not the King of Spades? The card that was cut will be destroyed.
  14. What is a designate? A designate is the person that you would have to cut the deck of cards on your behalf if you are not available to do so.
  15. What if my designate or myself is unable to be at the radio station on Wednesday morning? Let us know if you wish to change your designate. We will need to have a replacement designate to cut the deck on your behalf.
  16. If I put down a designate and they cut the King of Spades, does any of the winnings go to them? No, The weekly pot as well as the Chase The King pot cheque will only be issued to the ticket holder’s name.
  17. Can I purchase the tickets 6 months or a year in advance? Yes you can. You can purchase your ticket(s) in advance at The Goodie Shop Restaurant using either cash, debit or credit card.
  18. What if I forget when my prepaid ticket has run out? You will receive either a phone call or an email from The Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival before your ticket runs out to give you notice when your ticket will expire.
  19. What if I purchased a ticket and prepaid for a year and the King of Spades was cut within that year? Your prepaid ticket is still active because when one game is concluded (The King of Spades cut) we will begin a new game.
